Our mascots — Buddy and Darby — were the heart of APNS for more than twelve years. Their curious personalities and unconditional warmth had a way of putting everyone at ease — turning nervous visits into something a little more bearable, and good days into something a little brighter.

We’ve always believed that genuine care extends beyond medicine. The right environment, a friendly presence, and small moments of human connection matter just as much as clinical expertise. Buddy and Darby embodied that instinctively. They didn’t know anything about healthcare, but they understood comfort — and that made them an irreplaceable part of what APNS has always tried to be.

Sadly, both Buddy and Darby have passed away after battling cancer. But the warmth they brought to everyone they met lives on in the spirit of this practice — and in the memories of everyone lucky enough to have known them.
