Effective June 27th, 2026.
Advanced Practice Nursing Specialists (APNS) is a cash-pay, fee-for-service medical practice. APNS does not accept or bill insurance for medical visits. Payment is due at the time of scheduling or at the time services are rendered, unless otherwise approved by APNS in writing.
Appointment fees compensate the provider for professional time, clinical review, medical decision-making, documentation, and individualized recommendations. Payment does not guarantee a prescription, specific treatment, referral, lab order, or particular medical outcome.

Quick Review of Refund Policy
At APNS, appointment fees compensate our providers for their professional time, medical expertise, clinical judgment, and individualized medical evaluation. Once you complete the required medical intake and your visit is submitted for provider review, your payment is processed and the visit becomes non-refundable. At that point, provider resources have been allocated, your medical information is being reviewed, and the medical evaluation has begun, regardless of whether a prescription, laboratory order, referral, or treatment recommendation is ultimately provided.
Accordingly, refunds are not issued under the following circumstances:
- A prescription is not prescribed.
- The provider determines that the requested treatment is not medically appropriate or safe.
- The provider recommends a different treatment plan than requested.
- The provider determines that additional evaluation, in-person care, emergency care, or specialist referral is necessary.
- The patient disagrees with the provider’s medical judgment or recommendations.
- Patient-side technology or internet issues prevent completion of a telehealth visit after the intake has been submitted.
- The visit is terminated by the provider due to inappropriate attire, conduct, language, harassment, threats, hostility, or other disruptive behavior.
If APNS is unable to provide the scheduled service due to provider availability, an administrative scheduling issue, or a technical problem originating from APNS systems before the provider begins reviewing your medical intake, APNS may, at its sole discretion, offer either a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule your appointment.
Insurance and Prior Authorizations
APNS is a cash-pay practice and does not submit claims to insurance companies. APNS also does not complete, submit, manage, appeal, or participate in insurance prior authorizations for medications, treatments, laboratory testing, imaging, durable medical equipment, medical supplies, or other services.
Patients are responsible for all costs associated with visits, prescriptions, compounded medications, labs, imaging, outside referrals, and third-party services.
Fee Schedule Notice
APNS reserves the right to update fees, visit types, specialty services, appointment lengths, and payment policies at any time. The fee in effect at the time of scheduling or service will apply.
