Understanding your medication is one of the most important steps toward using it safely and effectively.

The medications section of our patient education library covers commonly prescribed and discussed medications used in telehealth practice — including treatments for chronic conditions, acute illnesses, men’s and women’s health concerns, mental health, weight management, and more. Each page explains what the medication is, how it works, why it may be prescribed, possible side effects, important safety considerations, and what to expect during treatment, in plain language without the medical jargon.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

A trauma-related mental health condition that can cause intrusive memories, nightmares, avoidance, mood changes, and a persistent sense of danger after a traumatic experience.

Psoriasis

A chronic immune-mediated condition that causes skin cells to build up too quickly, producing thick, scaly patches and sometimes affecting the nails or joints.

Premature Ejaculation

A common sexual concern in which ejaculation repeatedly happens sooner than desired and feels difficult to delay or control.

Prediabetes

A condition in which blood sugar is above normal but below the diabetes range, signaling increased risk for developing type 2 diabetes.

PMOS / PCOS

A common hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect menstrual cycles, ovulation, fertility, androgen levels, insulin response, skin, hair, and long-term health.

Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis)

Inflammation or infection of the eye’s conjunctiva that can cause redness, watering, itching, swelling, irritation, or discharge from one or both eyes.

Penile Discharge

Abnormal fluid from the urethra that may result from an STI, urinary infection, inflammation, irritation, or another genital or urinary condition.

Paronychia (Nail-Fold Infection)

Inflammation or infection around a fingernail or toenail that can cause redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, and sometimes a pocket of pus.

Panic Disorder

An anxiety disorder that causes repeated unexpected panic attacks with intense physical symptoms, fear, and ongoing worry or avoidance related to future attacks.
