Conditions

Understanding your condition is one of the most important steps toward managing it.

The medical conditions section of our patient education library covers the health conditions most commonly seen in telehealth practice — from chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension to acute illnesses, men’s and women’s health concerns, and more. Each page breaks down what the condition is, how it’s diagnosed, what treatment looks like, and what you can expect long-term, in plain language without the medical jargon.

Use the library to research a diagnosis, prepare for a visit, or simply learn more about your health.

Joint Pain (Arthralgia)

Pain, aching, stiffness, or soreness in one or more joints that can result from injury, overuse, arthritis, inflammation, infection, or other medical conditions.

Lentigines (Sun or Age Spots)

Flat brown or dark spots that commonly develop on sun-exposed skin after years of ultraviolet exposure and are often called sun spots or age spots.

Lice (Head Lice)

A common scalp infestation caused by tiny crawling insects that spread mainly through close head-to-head contact and can cause itching and visible nits in the hair.

Low Back Pain / Back Pain

Pain or stiffness in the lower back that may result from muscle strain, disc or joint problems, nerve irritation, injury, or other medical conditions.

Low Testosterone (Low T)

A hormone deficiency in which the body does not produce enough testosterone, potentially affecting sex drive, erections, energy, muscle mass, mood, bone health, and fertility.

Melasma

A common skin condition that causes symmetrical brown or gray-brown patches on the face and is often triggered by sunlight, hormones, pregnancy, or skin irritation.

Menstrual Cramps

Painful menstrual cramps and other period-related problems such as heavy, irregular, or prolonged bleeding that may result from normal hormonal changes or an underlying condition.

Metabolic Syndrome

A cluster of metabolic risk factors—including high blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess abdominal fat, and abnormal cholesterol—that increases the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

Migraines

A neurological condition that causes recurring moderate to severe headaches, often with nausea and sensitivity to light or sound, and sometimes temporary aura symptoms.
